Vision

Sportworld & the British Sport Museum has been conceived as a worldwide visitor attraction that will provide Britain with a permanent home and international showcase for its unique cultural heritage in sport.

Visitors will experience the best of British sport in a world sport content through a unique and highly interactive fusion of sport, culture and entertainment.

The experience will include the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art exhibitions such as skydiving, six major video wall shows, 32 permanent exhibitions including a Fitness Test and a wide range of temporary exhibitions including current sporting events and demonstrations. There will also be a library and study centre, plus a large conference, banqueting and event centre as well as sport themed retail, refreshment and dining zones.

Sportworld & the British Sport Museum will inspire and encourage visitors, including the young, elderly and disabled to get involved in sporting an recreational activities by providing a permanent and enjoyable reminder of its importance as an integral and unique aspect of British culture.

Based at a prime location in Central London, Sportworld & the British Sport Museum will be privately funded and requires no Lottery money or additional public financial support.
